WWII: Through the Lens of Duane Zemper

During World War II, Howell resident Duane Zemper served as a photo reconnaissance officer with the U.S. Army Air Corps. Perched with his camera over the bomb bay doors on B-17 missions, Duane survived harrowing flights and returned with stunning photographs of the air war. Duane shares these photos, and amazing stories of the courage displayed by the bomber and ground crews, in this exclusive Michigan Television documentary.

In partnership with local libraries, Michigan Television hosted two preview screenings of this documentary, as well as exhibits of Zemper's photographs.

The photo exhibit will be displayed October 16th and at the Howell Carnegie District Library.
